Holly Broadwater received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Carson Newman College.
She is board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse from A.N.C.C.
Before joining Pain Medicine in August of 2003, Holly worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Room of a local hospital.
Benjamin Meeks is a Johnson City native and began his professional career at East Tennessee State University, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. He obtained real world addiction experience while a nurse at Woodridge Hospital.
He completed his Master of Science at University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the concentration of Family Nurse Practitioner in 1997, and was inducted into the national academic honor society for nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and was a National Health Service Core Fellow.
He has worked in the fields of pain management and psychiatry since his graduation from Tennessee and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
Practicing PA since 1978 with majority of training and experience in neurosurgery and emergency medicine.

Dr. Austin has had pain management, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment experience in private practices and hospitals in Tennessee and Texas since 1993.
Shannon Hollowell, FNP is one of the newest members to join the medical staff at Pain Medicine Associates, P.C. She holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University.
Shannon received her board certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in April 2002 from the A.N.C.C. She has clinical experience in critical care, post anesthesia care and has worked over the past two years as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a local neurosurgical group.
Certified by the National commission for Certification of Physician Assistants, Powell received his bachelor of science from Wichita State University, Kansas. Serving in the rank of major for the Tennessee Army National Guard, Powell performs periodic physical examinations, fitness for duty evaluations-in addition to other related duties. He is currently ACLS certified.
Powell is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants, the National Society of Orthopedic Physician Assistants, the Society of Army Physician Assistants and the National Guard Officers Association of the United States.
