As a pain medicine physician, he has a particular interest in caring for the elderly and patients who have developed chronic pain as the result of a traumatic injury. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking outdoors with his family and Australian Shepherd, Marcy, as well as skiing, snorkeling, and eating exotic food in exotic places.

  • Benjamin Meeks is a Johnson City native and began his professional career at East Tennessee State University, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. He obtained real world addiction experience while a nurse at Woodridge Hospital.
  • He completed his Master of Science at University of Tennessee, Knoxville in the concentration of Family Nurse Practitioner in 1997, and was inducted into the national academic honor society for nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and was a National Health Service Core Fellow.
  • He has worked in the fields of pain management and psychiatry since his graduation from the University of Tennessee and is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management.
